Miss Velvet Cream champions sustainable fashion through its commitment to upcycling. Each one-of-a-kind creation is meticulously handcrafted from salvaged, donated, or gifted clothing items, breathing new life into textiles destined for landfills. Every garment is thoughtfully cleaned before reconstruction, and only new, high-quality hardware is used, ensuring both durability and a commitment to environmental responsibility. Allison's design philosophy embodies the principles of upcycling, remaking, and eco-fashion, transforming discarded materials into wearable works of art.
Allison's impressive portfolio includes creations for Hot Couture at The Crucible in both 2008 and 2013, showcasing her mastery of avant-garde design. Oscar's journey has been marked by valuable apprenticeships, including a significant role with B:SR Brand, a renowned Sacramento high-end fashion house. This experience provided invaluable insights into the intricacies of the industry, from design and construction to branding and presentation. Now, as an emerging designer for SalvagedRow, Oscar continues to hone his skills, channeling his creativity and passion into innovative and compelling designs. His connection to SalvagedRow underscores his commitment to collaborative artistry and community engagement within the Sacramento fashion ecosystem. Since his appearance at last year's show, Oscar has dedicated himself to exploring new textile applications and construction techniques, pushing the boundaries of his creative vision. Her mother crafts jewelry, her grandmother designed and manufactured children's clothing from her home, her aunt designed formal wear, and her grandfather embroidered clothing labels distributed throughout Asia. This rich heritage of creativity and craftsmanship has undoubtedly influenced Rachel's own artistic pursuits. From a young age, she was captivated by the beauty of both fashion and functional interior spaces, drawn to the artistry of artisans and the magic of a well-executed makeover. These early influences ignited a lifelong passion for design in all its forms, leading her on a path of continuous learning and creative exploration.

Today, Rachel seamlessly blends her love of fashion and interior design. She pursues a career as an interior designer in Sacramento, crafting spaces that reflect both style and functionality.
