May T | Juku
Inspired by vibrant colors, print fabrics, and reversible pieces, May T created the brand “Juku,” which is actually the designer's middle name. With a degree in fashion design and fashion merchandising at American River College where she also received designer awards for “Honorable Creativity” and “Best Re-Purpose” at their annual fashion shows. In 2017, she even had the opportunity to showcase some of her pieces at the Voices Magazine Awards in Minneapolis). Juku designs consist of African inspired prints, vibrant colors, and fabric with a more sophisticated European style twist. The use of these vibrant and African prints is a representation of where she's from and who she is. Juku can be perfect to wear in an office setting, for a day out cavorting in the city, or a night out in the town. The versatility May T brings through her unique style can be seen in all of her designs. |
Mang & Shang Thao | Hill Tribe Fusion
Hill Tribe Fusion is a sister duo of fashion designers Mang and Shang Thao. Based in Northern California, they are fashion forward designers specializing in clothing and elaborate headpieces. Their love of Japanese street fashion and anime inspired them to create their own designs and accessories to sell in 2008. The duo love to infuse their Hmong culture in their designs by giving it a modern twist. They also love all things fantasy and couture. Their collections have been showcased at fashion shows in California, Minnesota, the Virgin Islands and many places in between. They’ve had their work published in magazines, worn in music videos and always look to be innovative and cutting edge in their designs. |
