DESIGNER SHOWCASE
DMR Productions presents Fashion in the City. After a two-year hiatus, Sacramento's fashion scene is set to be redefined with the highly awaited Fashion Week designer showcase. This prestigious event upholds its tradition as the pioneer runway showcase hosted at the museum, following our triumphant events at the California Automobile Museum, the Sacramento Railyards, and DOCO Plaza. Proceeds raised will go towards the L for Lupus Foundation, a local non-profit organization that provides moral and financial support for underprivileged families and survivors of Lupus.

Hyori Lee
After leaving a lasting impression at Sacramento State’s Student Fashion Association Spring 2023 showcase, Hyori Lee returns to the spotlight more runway magic. Majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Management, she has discovered her passion for upcycling and exclusively utilizes secondhand materials in all her creations. Hyori's creative journey is set to unfold into a captivating display of artistic expression, foreshadowing her ambitions to establish her own sustainable fashion brand in the future. |
Kayley Kirkaldie
Kayley is currently a student at CSUS, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and Management. Her ambition is to establish herself as a sustainable fashion designer. Kayley's passion lies in designing and crafting garments that are environmentally conscious. During a research assistantship in the summer of 2023, she delved into strategies for composability and zero-waste pattern cutting. As part of this project, Kayley created a garment that utilized regionally grown natural fibers and dyes, showcasing her commitment to sustainability. She acknowledges and appreciates all those who have supported and inspired her throughout her journey toward becoming a fashion designer. |
Oscar Perez
Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Oscar Perez recently graduated from CSUS with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and Management. From a young age, Oscar has displayed a natural creativity, which he has expressed through various mediums, including drawing and building with construction bricks. However, it was the medium of fashion that truly captivated him and inspired him to pursue a career in the industry. Oscar's journey in fashion has led him to become an apprentice for B:SR Brand, a prestigious Sacramento high-end fashion brand. Now, he is emerging as a next-generation designer for Salvaged Row, where he continues to channel his creativity and passion for fashion. |
Rachel Zacapa
Growing up with a penchant for recycling clothing, Rachel Zacapa found her passion in upcycling fashion. Initially starting in the fashion world as a makeup artist, Rachel transitioned to become a graphic and web designer in the high-tech industry. After completing Sacramento State’s fashion program, she now showcases her upcycled fashion while pursuing a career as an interior designer in Sacramento. |
