Walking through the doors of the pristine Chalet Event Center in Rocklin, California, everyone in attendance was transported to a fantastical backdrop of under-the-sea glitz and glamour complete with beautiful and creative paper Mache jellyfish adorning the ceiling above the runway - the creation and work of deco designer Yennie Zhou. Produced by DMR Productions, this year's annual white party was hosted by the stunning Bethany Crouch and benefited the L is for Lupus Foundation. With everyone decked out in their most fashionable all white attire, this exclusive event raised funds for a great cause while having a night to remember. In collaboration with Cosmo Beauty Academy and the team of stylists and make-up artists lead by Soladad Mendez, dozens of models for 5 amazing designers spent the day getting ready to grace the stage with unique designs. Above and Beyond Cakes provided delicious desserts to ensure the VIP treatment was felt across the board. Thanks to their support and local sponsors that included the Digital booth, Lush Balloons, and Crest Café just to name a few, the experience was memorable. Between the delicious catered food, raffle giveaways throughout the night, and talent performances between the captivating runway showcases there wasn't a down moment to be had. When guests weren't eating gourmet cuisine, watching captivating talent like contortionist Nani Paca, Priestess the belly dancer, or the comedian Buddy Rahming, their eyes were attentively glued to the stage to watch the exclusive lines of the 5 talented designers presented by Sacramento Fashion Week gracing the stage. Opening the show was designer Nicole Jordan, am amazing and unique designer whose designs have already been featured in numerous publications. Next, designer Lisa Lo showcased her cross-cultural couture collection intoxicating the audience with her innovative designs which highlight her artwork by using textiles with a variety of textures and patterns. Finishing up the 1st half of the show was designer Latiya Gholar exhibiting her American Umma line, juxtaposing her iconic Islamic cultural attire with American culture, guided by the color white as the defining theme. The second half of the event started with Lisa Lo's ready to wear lineup, followed by Maya Leon presenting her collection "Angela de Forsage" which marries romantic and whimsical styles to result in a spontaneous and expressive, uniquely different display of fashion. Finishing off the runway proceedings was Hannah Be, a sustainable stylist who creates one of a kind looks using eco friendly, vintage, and upcycled fashion and accessories. With her brand, "Retrospect Vintage Fashion Collection," she delights in creating an exclusive curated line that can be brought to anyone's closet with the click of a mouse. From the performing artists to the talented designers, the White Party was filled with excitement and allure, and all aspects revolving around the all white theme.
