Sacramento’s Handle District hosted it’s fifth annual Dress Up Wine Down event on Capitol Avenue. The annual fashion and wine event that brings together the Lodi Winegrape Commission (LOCA) and Sacramento Fashion Week (SACFW). This year’s event raised just under $5k for Women Escaping A Violent Environment (WEAVE) The outdoor event held on second Saturday, May 12th, took over Capitol Avenue between 19th and 18th streets with more than a dozen wineries from one of the world’s fastest-growing wine regions provided through the Lodi Winegrape Commission Featured designers were Richard Hallmarq and Ken Adams. Featured boutiques were Ladybuggz Boutique, Heart Boutique, Getta Clue store and selections from Felicia Strati Boutique Duane Ram the founder and producer of Sacramento Fashion Week oversaw the fashion show presentation and says this is one of the fun shows he enjoys doing. “Compared to SACFW this event is not as stressful. Granted I have less to oversee, but we did cast over 30 models for the show which is more then what we had last year.”
The Handle District will host its fifth annual wine and fashion event on Capitol Avenue from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in partnership with the Lodi Winegrape Commission (LOCA), Sacramento Fashion Week (SACFW) and Women Escaping A Violent Environment (WEAVE).
This event is free to the public and will take place on Capitol Avenue between 19th and 18th streets. Local fashion stylist and boutique owner Felicia Strati will serve as the creative director for the runway fashion show to benefit WEAVE. Featured designers are Richard Hallmarq and Ken Adams. Featured boutiques are Ladybuggz Boutique, Heart Boutique, Getta Clue store and selections from Felicia Strati Boutique. Hair provided by Allure Salon & Spa. Makeup provided by Karina Martin. The runway show on Capitol will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Lodi Winegrape Commission will host wine tasting with more than a dozen wineries from one of the world’s fastest growing wine regions, Lodi California, participating. Many of the winemakers will be on site to share information about their wineries and the industry. Seeking Bay Area Non-Union Men and Women 25-45 to portray Silicon valley young pro types attending a convention. This shoots on Saturday 5/19 and you must be available for a full 10 hour shoot, starting possibly in the very early morning and going to the late evening. This will be an outdoor shoot so you must be comfortable working a full day outside. This is shooting in San Jose so you must have reliable transportation to get to set. Must have valid ID for I-9. U.S. Citizens can use current U.S. Passport alone or both a valid Drivers License with Social Security Card or birth certificate.
