On Saturday, December 3rd, guests were transported back in time to experience the 4th Annual White Party at Eden Gardens Event Center in Elk Grove. DMR Productions & JQ Events created this unique fundraising event four years ago to bring together fashion, luxury design, and a noble cause: Lupus. A Night of Entertainment Throughout the night, guests enjoyed delicious Mediterranean food from Crest Cafe, and were entertained with live music from Neil Nayyar, Euphoria Sparks with a fire performance, and Tezza with her belly dance routines. But the highlight of the evening was the fashion show by couture designer Nicole Jordan. Her collection was presented in collaboration with hair-stylist Adam Randle and the makeup team, Bryan Maldonado Moreno, Marisela Pavon, and Elysia Avalos. A Walk Through Time Guests were welcomed into Alexandria's Marketplace, where they could explore local vendors selling art, textiles, and henna services. Then, they were invited to take a walk through an art installation by local Sacramento Designer, Yennie Zhou. On their way out, they encountered Queen Cleopatra herself – and with each section of the venue filled with amazing art and decorations, there were plenty of photo-worthy moments. The show was show-stopping, with models looking like goddesses wrapped with gold accessories and colorful jewels. And, in a special twist, hand-selected guests were invited to walk the runway in their very own all-white ensemble. A special thank you to Soledad Mendez & Gaby Martin for manageing hair & makeup and the glam crew from Paul Mitchell MIT for providing support. Raising Awareness and Funds for Lupus The night wasn't just about fashion and entertainment – it was also about raising awareness and funds for the L for Lupus Community Foundation. The charity was able to help the Ramos family in Antelope, California. Both parents have been undergoing chemotherapy for lupus, and throat Cancer. The Pasifika Fashion Show returned to the Westin Hotel by the San Francisco Airport over the Thanksgiving weekend, and it was a night to remember! Founder and Producer Juhne Tuilaucala headed the production, with the support of Duane Ram and his crew from DMR Productions. Shaline Jane, the beautiful and talented host, had the audience captivated with her charm and grace. Shaline is more than a pretty face - she is an advocate for women's success and uses her gifts of speaking and business knowledge to build bridges in the community for resources to be shared. The night was kicked off by the talented dancers from Ali'itasi Productions, who flew in all the way from Utah to take the event to another level. Designers Showcasing The night was a burst of colors thanks to the varied selection of designers showcasing their collections.
The Pasifika Fashion Show was truly an amazing experience, and it was all thanks to the hard work of the producers, host, designers, and models who made it a night to remember. Be sure to mark your calendars for the next one.
